Well, at least now I can have a valid reason for avoiding it! The next time someone asks, I’ll respond, “Oh, Jacob said I wasn’t allowed to use drive-thrus.” And if they ask further, I’ll direct them to you.

I’d say that the “No Ice” request disqualifies you from Drive-Thru usage. Sorry.

As a general rule, I avoid using the drive-thru. I am always worried that the harried employees are going to misunderstand my order and botch it – even when I ask for something simple like a McChicken sandwich and a large Powerade with no ice.

I don’t know – does asking for no ice disqualify me from the drive-thru?

And yes, Andrew, In-N-Out really is the best burger place in the world. Get the double-double, animal-style, and you’ll be in fast food heaven!

I’ve been battling this from my very own inception. Hating mayo, mustard, pickles, sour cream, and most any other condiment has been a major stumbling block for me at fast food places. Except In-N-Out. Ah, how I love them. And pizza places generally get it right.
