I would compare that to Hound Dogs, which is on the Ohio State campus. Hound Dogs might be a bit better than Papa Del's, but only because it has that "mamma just picked the crust back up off the floor" taste to is, which is unmatchable. If I can make some time to make a Champaign run, I'll definitely put that on the docket! While it has been a while since I last partook of Papa Del’s, I HAVE indeed eaten there. It wasn't a "Wow - Thanks for coming!" or "Hey, since you drove so far...". Instead, "how about you NOT drive that far next time..." But, the pizza was still amazing, so we'll just have to go to one of Lou's many OTHER locations next time. Lou has good pizza pie, but next time you are up in Chicagoland check out Giordano's or Connie's for deep dish pie.
