I don’t know that I can really explain it, but I just feel very content right now. I’ve felt this way for the last couple of weeks, and it has really put a strain on my blogging. It’s hard to come up with topics to rant or ramble about when everything is just going well. I’m not sure that I like feeling so content.

Anyway, I can’t just NOT post anything, so I figured that I would share one of the more humerous things I’ve seen today: (click the image for a larger version)

Site update: New image at the top

Okay, so I worked REALLY hard for the majority of the day today, but I ran out of things to do. In my down time, I meandered over to WhiteEyebrow’s blog and decided that it was time to give my own site a small facelift. You see, W.E. has a really neat way of updating the look of his blog to match the season. At Christmas, it was red and green with Christmas lights all over. At American Idol time, it has AI stuff all over. I don’t think I’ll ever be THAT creative, but I’m glad that I found something new to use as the “header” image here.

For anyone that is curious, the new image is actually a clip from a photo that I took a few years ago. I happened to be driving home from WalMart in Washington at the time the sun was setting. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t help but pull over to the side of the road and snap some photos. This one just happens to be my favorite.

As for the old image, I always wondered what city was being shown. Well, I discovered this afternoon that it is a shot of New York City, and I was even able to find the same street on Google Maps:

It’s no secret that I’m not a huge fan of Obama’s politics, but I am a fan of art. I thought I’d take a moment to promote the artwork that was created by a brother of a friend. More details can be found here.

Brief Political Follow-up

Last week, I ranted about how I couldn’t find any decent information about “the issues” on either John McCain’s or Barak Obama’s websites. However, I came accross the website for the Modern Whig party, and I was able to determine EXACTLY where they stand on a variety of issues quite easily. Since the point of my last post was more rooted in my frustration with poor website design and too much fluff, I figured I should give this site as an example of what I find satisfactory.

Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, I’m not intending to support the Whigs – just sharing their website.

Really?! Really. Really? Umm… really. So should a certain “Community Organizer” be punishied capitally for their activism? Or, better yet, did a certain “Community Organizer” come from an equally immaculate conception?

Hmm.

I even feel like I’m helping their efforts by blogging about this, but I cannot express sufficiently with words my absolute objection to this notion. Urgh!

NOTE: I just re-read my initial post and found that I had made quite a grammatical mistake. I guess I shouldn’t post things out of so much anger/frustration without a proofreader! It’s fixed now, so hopefully that last line makes more sense now.

How lazy are we? Seriously…
